MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Nearly 600 Muskogee High School students were among the first of 5,800 students that will receive a wifi hotspot thanks to T-Mobile’s EmpowerED™ program and Muskogee Public Schools receiving $1.16 million grant from T-Mobile.
Students at Muskogee High School and Alice Robertson Junior High School are scheduled to receive their wifi hotspots prior to Winter Break with elementary students to receive their hotspots prior to Spring Break.
The Unlimited 4G LTE wireless hotspots will bridge the “homework gap” that effects students across the country due to their socioeconomic status. Paired with the 1:1 Program of Muskogee Public Schools with each student having a Google Chromebook the “digital divide” will shrink thanks to the T-Mobile EmpowerED™ wifi hotspots.
