.
We are pleased that you have chosen to investigate the abundant opportunities that exist for students and staff in the Muskogee Public School (MPS) District. The MPS District has provided outstanding educational opportunities for more than 110 years. Our student population is currently a diverse 6,251 consisting of African-American, American -Indian, Asian, Caucasian and Latin-American.
Educators and Muskogee Public Schools
One of our greatest strengths is our teaching staff. They are recognized instructional leaders in Oklahoma and in the nation. The number of staff members holding National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards continues to increase. Approximately one percent of U.S. teachers hold this prestigious certification. Approximately seven percent of Muskogee teachers have earned this designation.
